I have been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves pretty soon from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. Please be so kind to reply back so I can tell you what to do and how to get some cash to us.

I'm freaked out at the moment

Another Very Sunny Afternoon

It has been so hot and sticky these past few days, I've only being pottering around the garden making sure it stays hydrated. We spent nearly £240 on new grass being layed down instead of the horrible cement paving stones, but now it seems a very expensive job that has turned into a nightmare because of the intense heat. I really don't want to put lots of water down onto the grass as I'm trying to conserve the amount of water usage, the garden plants take upto 8 trips with the watering can already. The only thing I will have to do is wait for the weather to calm down and re-seed in the autumn, the other thing about the garden is the wild flowers and poached egg plant that I have grown from seeds are attracting the Bumblebees. I've seen the normal yellow bottomed and orange bottomed Bumblebees, they are really big this year.
Usually by now I would of seen butterflies, especially the peacock butterfly which is common around where I live but this year I haven't seen any yet :-( though the buddliea is late in flowering this year, so I was wondering if this is the reason why I haven't seen the butterfies. Well anyway that is all for now :-)

Vantage Point/2008

I watched this film on Sky Prem Movies last week, at first I thought this was going to be a good film until it started rewinding and rewinding..... I know that it is integral to the plot of the movie that we see the story from different "vantage points" but it was really boring. But even if you break the story down and only see it from one person's point of view the movie would of been over in half an hour. Which is the reason why they wrote this from eight different views, to elaborate and stretch out the story as much as possible until it emerges into the main story and the part of the film where there is a  "car chase",  this is just one of those films that I only will watch the once and I am glad I didn't buy it.

Family Tree - Paternal

The above picture is of Ramillies British Cemetery for the WW1 Commonwealth War Graves, France where my Great Grandfather is buried. He died 1 November 1918, I never knew much about him until I started researching the family tree last year, it is thanks to ancestry that I have found his military records and from his rank number I found where he was buried in France. With again thanks to the Commonwealth War Graves Commision that have the records on-line. Researching back in his family tree it goes as far back as 1602, that's starting from me it's 12 generations back to Christopher Chapman born 1602.

To The Manor Born - 2007 Christmas Special

Last night I watched the DVD 2007 Christmas special episode of "To the Manor Born"  Starring(original characters):

Penelope Keith as Audery DeVere nee fforbes-Hamilton
Peter Bowles as Richard DeVere
Angela Thorne as Marjorie Frobisher
Gerald Sim as The Rector

New Characters for the 2007 Christmas Special:

Alexander Armstrong as Adam fforbes-Hamilton
Alan David as Emmeridge(the butler)
Michael Cochrane as Archie Pennington-Booth

This special episode is about Audery and Richard DeVere's Silver Wedding(25th) Anniversary, it has the usual ups and downs of their relationship, which just brought back memories of watching it on the TV and the repeats. Even though this episode is filmed/shown after 25/26yrs since the last episode was filmed it still has that essence of what made it such an excellent TV Show( The opinion poll taken 2004 of Britain's Best Sitcom has put To The Manor Born at number 21 out of a 100).  I really enjoyed watching this special episode, it has made me want to dig out the DVD's and watch the original series.

Another sunny afternoon!!

Unexpected sunny weather again today, so I'm going for a short walk and then have a peaceful afternoon in the garden reading one of the books I got from the library yesterday, or I could plant the marigolds. Well must get on

Not well :-(

Another beautiful sunny day, with a deep blue sky. I sat for a while in the garden, not feeling so good today again. It's a combination of hay fever starting up and my Chronic Fatigue is kicking back  in again. Went to the library this afternoon and had a good look around, the library is small and it's the reason why I normally order my books on the Internet and pick them up as most of the time they may have a series of books I would like to read, but 10/1 they have either the second or third book but not the first in stock.
I took out the book called " Uneasy lies the head" by Jean Plaidy, finally a set of books where this is the first! It is about the aftermath of the war of the roses, Henry Tudor took the crown of England and united the two houses by marrying the daughter from the rival family  :
Henry VII  Tudor(the House of Lancaster) and his wife Elizabeth of York ( the House of Yorkshire), they are the first of the Tudor Dynasty. I also took out "The picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde, I've read a few of Wilde's books but not this one and I seem to be going through a Victorian Novel phase.
Yesterday I watched the film Independence Day, I've not seen it in a while and I remember going to the cinema and I thought what a great film it was. Now watching it I realise how corny and embarrassing it was with the one liners leading to something from past films or tv shows.  It does say on the DVD box that there was 8mins extra that wasn't shown in the theaters, I must admit I couldn't tell where it was placed. Being the movie geek that I am, I will play the film the next time but with the audio commentry on it. I have a few movies to watch again the first being Hitchhickers guide to the galaxy, I love this film and the auido commentries. The next film is the chronicles of narnia: prince caspian, I've not seen it before and the next film is wanted, so I have a few to watch this week.
